Winnie is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Registered Play Therapist (RPT), National Certified Counselor (NCC), and National Board-Certified Teacher in School Counseling (NBCT). She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master

of Arts in Agency Counseling from the University of Alabama

at Birmingham. Winnie has been treating adolescents and

young adults who struggle with depression, anxiety, neglect, physical/sexual abuse, anger management, ADHD, and stress management. She believes that a person’s childhood should be one of the most carefree, fun times of their lives and if she can help a child experience that, then working as a counselor is well worth it. She combines humor with play therapy – Adlerian Play Therapy, Client-Centered Play Therapy, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy – into her sessions. When she is not working, Winnie likes to collect “anything” Winnie the Pooh.
